The company's press release stated that Berg passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday morning at his home in the Netherlands. The cause of death was not disclosed.
Berg worked for Damac for over 25 years, starting as a technician in the company's gas production plant in Heerlen, Netherlands. He quickly rose through the ranks to become the plant manager before moving to the company's headquarters in Eindhoven.
In his time with Damac, Berg made significant contributions to the company's success, including improving safety measures and increasing productivity in the gas production department. He also played an important role in developing new products and processes for the company.
Damac's CEO, Marc van der Wal, said: "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Berg. His dedication and commitment to the company were unparalleled, and he will be missed by all who knew him."
